We are pleased to announce that we are open again in a limited capacity for room hire.
COVID mitigation measures will remain in place until further notice. We are reviewing what changes we can make if the Welsh Government confirms the move to Level 0 from 7 August.

Rooms for Hire

We have three meeting rooms available to hire at very competitive rates, either for single sessions or long term use.

The downstairs rooms have step free access, including the main Meeting Room, toilets and kitchen. There is also a stair lift giving access to rooms 4 and 5. We have a disabled car park space that can be reserved at the time of booking.


Room 1: Main Meeting Room

Available for single use or regular events.

A large, light and spacious ground floor meeting room, suitable for public meetings, private gatherings and parties.

Seats up to 60 people (maximum occupancy).

Currently restricted to 13 people to ensure social distancing.

£15 per hour.

Room 4: John Dennithorne Room

Available for single use or regular events.

A smaller meeting room.

Seats up to 15 people 'lecture style'(maximum occupancy), or 10 'board room style'.

Currently restricted to 5 people to ensure social distancing.

£10.50 per hour.

John Dennithorne (1895-1984) was a sculptor, founder of a nursery school and allotments in Dowlais, advocate at unemployment insurance tribunals, a peacemaker, a source of strength and enlightenment - and a Cardiff Quaker.

Room 5: Doris Gardner Room

Available for single use or regular events.

Currently unavailable, as too small to ensure social distancing.

Ideal for small meetings, counselling and discussion groups.

Seats up to 8 people (maximum occupancy).

£9. per hour.

Doris Gardner (1927 - 2014) was a loving great grandmother, a community quilter, craftswoman, campaigner for human rights and nuclear disarmament, clerk as the March to Greenham Common began from this meeting house, a truly wise woman - and a Cardiff Quaker.


In addition, we have a communal kitchen on the ground floor for use as a refreshment area.

Fair Trade coffee and tea and sugar are available at no additional cost.

Currently closed due to COVID regulations.
