Aspirations for our Meeting House

Croeso Cynnes / Warm Welcome

The Quaker vision of an equal and just society has inspired our long history of practical engagement in social concerns, especially when responding to the needs of those on the margins of society.

With this vision in mind we spent two years consulting with the community and with our own volunteers to plan how the building could better serve the community. The granting of planning permission to build a 16-story residential block next door to the meeting house led us to re-evaluate our original plan to develop the building. As well as encouraging greater increased community use, we are exploring the possibility of working in partnership with a housing association in a more ambitious development which would include social housing on our site as well as continuing to be a place of well-being, health, respite, peace and safety.

We are currently exploring how we might get planning permission for a more ambitious build.

We are very grateful for the donations received so far, but we are not actively fundraising at this time.

We hope to be able to share news of our progress soon.
